What venue(s) will be a part of the festival?

All shows will take place at the Blue Brick Theatre. The Blue Brick Theatre is within walking distance of our main hotel: The Hyatt State College.


What lodging options are available?

The Hyatt State College is available for $109/nt + tax and is right next door to the venue.



What transportation options are available?

Members of Happy Valley Improv will provide transpiration to and from the airport for any out-of-town performers. Once at the downtown hotel, everything is within walking distance.


What dining options are available?

Upon check-in, performers and visitors will get a list of local restaurants and coupons.



What local events or attractions are available?

We will be hosting daytime events such as hiking Mount Nittany, touring the Penn State Campus, and viewing the Penn State arboretum. We will have a group work out and a scavenger hunt as well. There are many other attractions which can be found at HappyValley.com.

How much stage time will performers receive?

Each team can expect an 18 - 22 minute slot.


What is the range of shows and styles the festival is seeking?

We are seeking a wide variety of performances. Long form, short form, solo acts, podcasts, you name it! Just no stand up!



What is the local improv scene like?

We are the local improv scene! Our audiences are accustomed to non-blue, long form shows.


What are the festival's goals?

Our goal is to bring more joy and exposure of improv to our local community. We strive to be a visitor-first festival.
