Andy has been working professionally in the Los Angeles improv community since 2000. Equally at home with both long and short form shows, she is a respected improv director and producer, having helmed (among many other projects) iO West’s The Kind Strangers and the long-running improvised teen drama The High.

She has taught a great deal of workshops, to improvisors and muggles of all ages. In addition to her popular genre improv workshops, Andy has been known to use her improv skills to teach everything ranging from corporate teambuilding, high school theatre, professional actor training and arts curriculum integration. No matter what the focus of the workshop, Andy relishes in creating a safe place to be playful, take artistic risks and tell great stories.

Clients/ venues have included Los Angeles Stage Alliance, Stella Adler Studio, Center Theatre Group, Camp Bravo, Fracas Festival, Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, All the Arts, ArtsBridge and LA Unified School District, ComedySportz World Tournament, and the ComedySportz High School League.

In scripted work, Andy has written for Turner Broadcasting’s [adult swim] and the internet’s comedy.com. Prior to that, she was a proud graduate of UCLA’s School of Theatre, Film and Television and a writer/director in the original primetime lineup for Channel 101.

When she's not teaching improv, Andy is a freelance casting professional for theatre, film and television having helped shepherd talent for Center Theatre Group, FOX, NBC, CBS and currently for IFC's DOCUMENTARY NOW. She is also the Casting Director/ Artistic Associate for ComedySportz Los Angeles.
