Brett's Info

I started improv over 15 years ago after seeing the local college troupe perform and thinking, "I can do that too!" I started with the Huge Embarrassing Failures at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, learning a Seattle-style longform style that revolved around the Harold and focused mainly on narrative and good story-telling. After three years of being in it, I eventually led the troupe for another 2 years until graduating. While pursuing my Master's Degree at the California Institute of the Arts, I started an elective Improv class which has since become a part of the curriculum. I've taken classes through the Upright Citizens Brigade (101, 201, and 301) in both Los Angeles and New York, and currently work and teach at SAK Comedy Lab in Orlando, FL.

"Comfortable atmosphere and knowledge of skill exceeded what I thought it would be. Brett was/is great." -

"This class was far more revolutionary than I thought it was going to be. I set out to improve a skill and found I had completely shifted and clarified my ability to analyze and create works." -

"I took this class not knowing much about improv and it has given me confidence in my abilities and given me a good grounding to what improv is." -
