Nicole Marcks graduated from Juilliard’s Drama Division and has performed as an actress across the country and internationally on stage and screen. After moving to L.A. she re-fell in love with improv and began to perform as much as she could. She studied at The Groundlings while performing with a long form, genre specific improv troupe called Those Meddling Kids (TMK). Nicole studied, performed and taught at the now-defunct-but-always-awesome bang. comedy theater. She developed the character of sexpert, life & death coach, Famke Roumstead, through an improv exercise with TMK and has performed her 'sexinars' in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Salt Lake City and for various improv festivals (Wasatch Festival, Femproviser, San Francisco Improv Festival, Impride and soon for the Alaska State Improv Festival.)

She has taught The Audience Sherpa/ No Improviser is an Island workshop for the San Francisco Improv Festival, Wasatch Improv Festival and soon for the Alaska State Improv Festival. Her specialties are character work and solo improvisation and she coaches and runs workshops regularly in Salt Lake City with improviser Tom Shannon.

Nicole moved to Park City, Utah in 2012 to raise her kiddo and continues to act and improvise. She plays with local groups Laughing Stock, Quick Wits and is a founding member and player in troupes Hot Toddy and Park City Improv. Nicole coaches people in performance skills and improvisation in the corporate environment and elsewhere through her applied improv company Triple I Creative with husband, Tom Shannon and fellow PC Improv performer, Nate Sears. Famke Roumstead hosts, teaches and performs live in the SLC area and is soon launching a web series.

"Nicole knocked it out of the park with her thoughtful and intuitive style of teaching. She helped me connect more with my audiences and accept not only my improv strengths but also my foibles as well. I'd take another class in a heartbeat from her!" - Karen Manthey

" The Audience Sherpa workshop was a great exercise in confidently being yourself on stage and connecting to an audience. It can be scary to be up there alone but Nicole made it seem much more manageable - it's a fun challenge to tackle." - Josh Hand

"Nicole is an amazing instructor. She has a nack for getting people out of their shell and opening up in a freeing and safe environment. Her performances are amazing and taking her workshop makes you believe that you can do what she does and that alone is truly special." - Michael Haycock
