Linda Marie Taylor has been performing, teaching, and directing improv for over 20 years. From fast paced short form competitions in ComedySportz venues across the country, performing Montages, Harolds, Living Rooms and Interventions, to creating original long form formats with troupes as large as 30 people to creating duo acts - Linda Marie loves to get in and get creative.Linda coaches all levels and ages of improvisers, teaching scenework focusing on individual skills and habits, and pushing students to discover something new. She works with preparing groups for performance and specialize in troupes looking to form their own identity/format.
She assists existing groups to expand their options for performance, and works with individual improvisers on a wide variety of scene skills.
Along with her duo partner she offers workshops to infuse shortform techniques into longform shows, and striving for longform scene expertise in their short form games.
Incorporating musical skills and using heavy audience interaction are Linda's favorite components of her performances. She loves the thrill of performing with new people across the country wherever her "day job" may take her. Linda Marie has taught improvisors of all ages being the originator and director of ComedyCity Kansas City Kids camps for over 12 years, and has been a featured coach for high school and college camps in CA, NY, KS, and MO. Linda has a history of injecting improv into corporate culture all around the KC area as the co -owner of "Instant Teams"
Linda Marie has participated in programs from Second City and Annoyance Theatres, and studied with individual instructors from Second City ( Chicago and Toronto), Annoyance Theater, UCB, ImprovBoston, and ComedySportz.
