Steve Wilder (Stephen Wilder) is the founder and co-owner of RISE Comedy (formerly Voodoo Comedy), and he has been teaching, improvising and performing for 28 years. An alumnus of iO West and Second City Hollywood, Steve has performed with and studied under Michael Pollock, musical director of Second City Hollywood and the premier improv accompanist in the country, and Shulie Cowen, the founder and director of Opening Night: The Improvised Musical in Hollywood. Steve has also studied and performed with improv luminaries such as Craig Cackowski, Susan Messing, David Razowsky, Armando Diaz, Karen Graci, Dave Hill, Eric Hunicutt, Jack McBrayer, Kevin McDonald, and many others.In addition to RISE Comedy, Steve is CTO and Co-Executive Producer for The Dinner Detective Murder Mystery Dinner Show, where he personally manages 5 locations and manages the website for all 75+ cities nationwide. Steve is also founder and director of Hit and Run: Musical Improv, which is now in its 15th straight year of performing improvised musicals, and the longest continually running longform improv show in Colorado.
Steve’s first stage role was the lead in “Robby The Robot” (age 5); he once shared a green room with Eric Idle; and he once auditioned for the Muppets.
