Michael Knackstedt is a Portland, OR-based improviser, teacher, writer and actor. A lifelong Oregonian originally from Eugene, Michael has called Portland home since 2014. He’s trained at Kickstand Comedy Space, The Siren Theater, Curious Comedy Theater and completed an intensive at The Annoyance Theater in Chicago. While not obsessing over music or challenging you to an air hockey match, he can be found performing, teaching and serving as Production Coordinator at Kickstand Comedy Space. He produces and performs in MONDO, an improv show inspired by live music. He can also be seen performing with Portland Supper Club and Kickstand's house ensemble, The CVLT. He also produces, writes and performs in Show Ridiculous, a cable access sketch comedy show that broadcasts on Open Signal: Portland Community Media Center.Michael has performed in the Stumptown Improv Festival, the Vancouver International Improv Festival, the LA Indie Improv Festival, the Del Close Marathon and the Westside Comedy Festival.
