Natasha is an American actress, singer, comedienne and writer who made herAmerican cinematic debut in 2006 in M. Night Shyamalan’s movie Lady in the Water,
the NBC hit show E.R. and recently appeared in funny sketches on Jimmy Kimmel Live
alongside Channing Tatum and Guillermo Diaz. Also as one of the stars of the PBS
documentary Now en Español for her role as a lead actress dubbing Desperate
Housewives on ABC for Spanish speaking audiences in the United States. She has
been the voice of hundreds of commercials for many brands, and has held starring roles
in Grey's Anatomy (as Lexy Grey) as well in the hit ABC show Lost (as Kate) among
many other dubbing roles in film and television.
Perez was part of LA Comedy Fest 2018 this March, as well as the latest Short and
Sweet Festival with a musical solo show written and performed by her and directed
by Rick Najera and Ariane Price (Bridemaids).
Perez – of Italian descent – was born and raised in Venezuela, where she began
acting, playing music, and composing at a very young age. Her acting career started
with roles in commercials and children’s theatre productions under the guidance of her
family of entertainers and advertising legends.
Perez’s exposure to Los Angeles Latino audiences began when her voice awakened
Angelenos as the producer and host of the second largest Pop & Rock Latino radio
station in L.A. at the time: VIVA 107.1 FM.
Natasha’s performance in Paloma, a musical short film produced and starred in by
Steven Bauer, earned her a Best Supporting Actress award at the Washington World
Music & Independent Film Festival. Her acting credits also include recurrent roles in TV
shows like CBS's The Distric. As a singer-songwriter, Natasha has placed her songs in different media from TV
shows like Entourage, to movies like the Argentinian film Cuestión de Principios, and the
Venezuelan film La Hora Cero. She has also scored plays like Damien Calderon's
Huellas for the Frida Kahlo Theatre and about a dozen jingles for commercials. For the
past couple of years Natasha has been exploring a new sound – a mix of indie, jazz
autochthonous textures and pop.
Pérez is also a published writer. The book “Hembravecidas” was launched in Mexico
earlier this month under the title Antología Bi-Nacional (Bi-national Antology). It will be
available in Los Angeles starting June 2018. As a journalist, Natasha has writen
counteless of articles in publications like El Metropolitano in Caracas, Hoy and la Banda
Elástica in LA.
