Andreas's Info
Andreas hails from northern Scandinavia in Umeå, Sweden. There he cut his teeth as a comedian, actor and improviser as a founding member of the Skuggteatern improv ensemble. He left Sweden for Chicago where he studied extensively at Second City, iO Chicago and The Annoyance.Chicago improv led him to the work of Paola Coletto (student of Jacques Lecoq). After discovering his passion for Physical Theatre he spent two years in intensive training with Coletto at The School For Theatre Creators in Chicago. The Chicago years were followed by a semester with Coletto and master mask maker Matteo Destro in the Atelier Msk Movement Program in Tuscany, Italy.
He then returned to The School For Theatre Creators, now relocated to Los Angeles, to graduate the pedagogical training in the vein of Jacques Lecoq that Paola Coletto offers.
Andreas now teaches classes and workshops to actors and improvisers internationally, working with the principles of these different disciplines to encourage each individual performer/creators growth.
"[Andreas] managed the group with openness but firmness. He in a short time he created the right atmosphere for really emotional scenes." - Former student
"Your impro is so real and deep and it's so nice to see you improvising, because you know what are you doing and you do it with passion. As a teacher you were as good as an improviser, you should definitely do more workshops." - Former student
