Steve's Info
Steve Hobbs is an actor/comedian/writer with over 10+ years experience in the Toronto improv comedy scene. A graduate of the Second City Conservatory sketch and longform programs, he was a writer/producer/ensemble member in the hit Toronto Fringe 2014 show "Everything Is Fine" (4N's - Now Magazine, 4.5 stars - The Torontoist), and prior to that, was a past Impatient Theatre Co. headliner as part of improv ensemble "El Fantoma". More recently, he's been featured both as a guest of regular sketch show "Fridurday Sketch Live!", as well as internationally in various comedy festivals (North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival, NYC's Del Close Marathon, Big City Improv Festival, etc). As a freelance writer, his satire is published regularly through The Second City Network, CBC Punchline, and previously in The Beaverton news magazine. When he's not on stage, he's either sloppily eating a sandwich, making music, hosting an event, or proudly teaching/coaching both youth and adults as part of the Second City Toronto faculty.
"Steve is a master of carefree play on stage. He brings that kind of joy, acceptance, and fun to any class he teaches" - Rob Norman, Second City Toronto Longform Program Head & Author of "Improvising Now" (2016)
