Tom's Info
Stand up comedian, improviser, and writer. Company director for The Same Faces, and workshop leader in both Northampton & Leicester, UK. The Same Faces have received consecutive award nominations for Best Improv Show from Leicester Comedy Festival (the largest comedy festival in Europe).I've been improvising since 2008, but obsessed with it since 2004 when I first discovered Whose Line Is It Anyway?. I've previously been a member of The University of Northampton group Indescriptable, and Leicester's Unidentified Flying Improv.
I've been teaching since March 2013, and now run three regular weekly workshops (in Leicester & Northampton), and have also taught improv to under-16s at a school in Leicester, with great success.
I'm also one of the co-founders of The British Improv Project, which seeks to raise the profile & standard of British improv, and runs bi-annual retreat weekends.

"Tom Young is a talented stand-up comedian with a strong work ethic and good showmanship skills. He writes his own material and is motivated to hone his act to a high standard, which shows in his performance quality. I have had opportunity to experience his work first-hand, and can attest to his improvisational skills as well as his prepared stand-up. He is bold and enthusiastic while remaining very likeable. A social comedian with a sense of fun that can be rare on the circuit. I would gladly recommend Tom Young's work to all and sundry" - Michael-Israel Jarvis, former improv student
"I have worked with Tom on several creative projects, from live comedy events and workshops to film based projects. He has always been completely professional and helped out above and beyond the brief. His ability to understand context and come up with jokes and improvised comedy on pretty much anything, never ceases to amaze me. He would be an asset to anyone hoping to use creativity in their work." - Jim Shields, Twist & Shout Media & semi-regular member of The Same Faces
"Tom is an excellent trainer in improvisation, and an expert workshop leader and facilitator in this field. He really encourages participants in his workshops to push their limits, so that they are continuously developing in the art of improvisation, while creating an atmosphere of fun and experimentation." - Hiten Vyas, Enterprise Club Business Advisor at University of Northampton
