Vivian Geffen teaches comedy improvisation at Santa Barbara City College. She created and leads two signature classes, Fitprovise™ a method that combines improvisation games with physical agility movements and Evolutionary Improv™, a non-comedy improvisation class that combines the skills of improv with movement, breath and personal storytelling in order to create experiences of authentic communication, connection and transformation. She has presented at The Pittsburgh Comedy Festival and The Creativity Experts Exchange in Buffalo, NY, West Talks in Los Angeles and She is looking for more opportunities to travel and teach. Her classes are great for community workshops, and groups wanting to have a change of pace and that encourages their players reconnect with authentic character and voice.Vivian’s Improv experiences studies with Cynthia Szigetti at The Acme Theater and Bill Hudnut at The Paramount Studios, currently she studies with Aretha Sills and works out with students from Westside Comedy Theater. She has also studied stand-up comedy with Mark Lonow and performed around Los Angeles. Vivian also worked as a story consultant with ObieCo entertainment on the children’s series SheZow. She holds a Master’s of Science in Creativity from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
