American Improv Theatre, AIT, was formed to create and grow a community of improvisationalists in the Bay Area. Using Black Cat Licorice Theater as a home base, we plan to make Northern California the place to learn, perform, and watch great improv.
AIT has a very talented house team. The AIT Players entertain audiences on Friday nights with a variety of improv styles and formats.
On Saturday nights, Brick House, our all female team, rock the theater.
Jeff & Friends gather together for some no rules improv with guest improvisors form around the world.
We're also the Host of the San Jose Improv Festival!!
