About Station Theater

Station evolved from Houston improv troupes Massive Improv and Rogue Improv. Once part of The New Movement, Station leadership chose to once again become an independent theater in 2012. They secured a performance space in April of 2013 and have been at 1230 Houston Ave ever since. They have seen their ranks grow from the original graduating class to ten to more than 150 alumni of their full training program.

Current Directors are Jessica Brown, Roger Anderson and Steven M. Saltsman. Faculty includes Angela Mayans Lee, Monica Marcha, Jim Meyers, Matt Graham, Aaron Garrett, and Chuck Stanfield.

Station Theater is Houston’s premiere independent comedy performance space featuring long form improv, sketch and stand-up comedy shows. Station Theater offers a full lineup of intelligent and irreverent comedy shows every Thursday through Saturday at 1230 Houston Avenue. Station Theater also produces the annual Trill Comedy Festival in October. Station’s comedy conservatory offers workshops and classes in long form improv and sketch as well as other areas of performance art. Classes start monthly.
