About Big Yellow Taxi

Big Yellow Taxi took its first ride in 2011 and has since become one of the longest-running improvised comedy shows in Los Angeles!

In this show a powerhouse cast of seasoned improvisers and special guest drivers take the suggestion of a city anywhere in the world and create a universe of characters inspired by taxi cab “confessions.”

The show brings smart, clever comedy with dark undertones, social commentary, pop culture, emotional poignancy, and bold characters. The result is a hilarious journey with unexpected turns and a collision of witty storytelling, theatricality, and schadenfreude.

The show and its form originated at The Pack Theater in Hollywood, California. Big Yellow Taxi guest drivers have included comedy royalty like Phil LaMarr, Mo Collins, Lucas Neff, Dana Powell, and Ronnie Karam, horror legends like Derek Mears and Betsy Baker, and pro wrestlers such as Dan Barry and the “Hollywood Hunk” Ryan Nemeth.
