About Shrieking Harpies

Shrieking Harpies is a Minneapolis based musical improv trio consisting of Lizzie Gardner, Hannah Wydeven and Taj Ruler, all who have been improvising in the Twin Cities for the past 10 years, with the ultra talented pianist Justin Nellis accompanying! Their main focus is blending different music genres with an epic improv narrative and pushing the boundaries of what that entails! No musical styling or genre is untouchable!

All three improvisors are also members of FairPlay MN and two of the three are on the leadership team (Hannah, Lizzie) which is a group that is dedicated to claiming equitable space for women-trans-femme improvisors, and they also dedicate their craft and their stories to strengthening that.
