Story telling is an art form all it's own. To be able to paint a mental masterpiece using a paintbrush of words is as close to magic this world has to offer. We are not storytellers, we are improvisers. We get a suggestion from the audience and scramble to remember and retell short, true stories from our lives. Usually we slip into the realm of 'too personal' or 'embarrassing' or even 'wow, this wasn't even really a story, it is just a thing that happened' and sometimes all three. Then we improvise scenes inspired by these stories. Thankfully we are better improvisers than storytellers but it is always a good time.
