About Desdemona

Desdemona formed in 2012 after Carrie and Clifton were paired up on a team by luck of the draw of names from a bucket, and discovered they enjoyed the energy of their performance.

Our performances have always been heavily character-based, and after working on both 2-person Harold and 2-person Deconstruction, our present form incorporates elements from each format along with a taste of narrative improv.

We start with a longer, 5-to-6-minute scene with two characters, and then the show unfolds from there. We flash forward or flash backward in cutaway scenes to find out what brought our characters to the base scene, sometimes following one character into a new relationship and sometimes switching to a scene inspired by information in an earlier scene.
