Show Time & Stage Ready
In theatre an Understudy steps up into the spotlight, into someone else’s shoes and brings the magic work. In a show or an team one player’s off night can be another player’s golden moment. Sometimes though, if one person is sinking everyone goes down with them- and the audience suffers. This is what we want to avoid. This workshop focuses on the importance of self-awareness, responsibility and versatility within a cast – being prepared to step up or step back depending on the rhythm of each show. We will look at how to be trustworthy, reliable and generous on stage even when you don’t feel in the mood and how to support your cast mates to give the audience a great night at the theatre.
