Scenework for Musical Improvisors

Are you tired of letting your scenes meander until the musical director pushes you into a song? Do you find yourself lost when the music starts? In this workshop, students will learn how to gift themselves with information and recognize their character's want in order to create a strong lead-up to a song. Instructor Michael Short has trained in musical improv with the Magnet Theater, and has performed musicals with long-running indie group Orphan Alley as well as Second City Theatricals.
