Building a Monoscene
One scene, in real time, no edits. Sounds simple, right? In this workshop, we breakdown what makes a monoscene work. We'll dive into creating thoughtful characters with strong beliefs, building a strong environment with lots to explore, and establishing a strong base reality in order to open the flood gates for fun surprises. We'll work on adding stakes, interacting with our location, committing to choices and creating a believable world that actors and audience alike will want to explore. This workshop will focus on the importance of listening, patience, pacing and working together. Students should have at least 1-2 years of longform improv experience
