T.J. Mannix is known for teaching around the country and the world (13 countries so far). With 21 years of improv experience, T.J. has created and taught workshops covering everything from improv basics, advanced style classes, musical improvisation, coaching, storytelling, and basic and advanced on-camera auditioning. Each of the workshops listed above can be tailored to the specific needs of each festival and community. Most workshops are designed to be 2-3 hours long. BIO T.J. Mannix is a veteran improvisor, actor, voice over artist, teacher, and acting coach in NYC for 21 years. From his performances with one of the first Harold teams at the UCB, to Radio City Music Hall, to his solo improvised musical, LimboLand, T.J. has been performing and teaching across the world. He fell hard for improv after studying with Amy Poehler, Matt Walsh, and Armando Diaz, and since then has studied with everyone from Ed Herbstman and Mick Napier to Tara Copeland. He has been a member of several touring casts for The Second City/NCL under the direction of Matt Hovde, Mick Napier, and Anneliese Toft.. He was an original cast member and host of "BLANK: the Musical" off-Broadway. He has appeared in more than 85 TV and radio commercials - along with roles on “Law and Order: SVU", "Law and Order”, “Law and Order: Criminal Intent”, “All My Children”, “One Life to Live”, “As the World Turns,” and numerous appearances on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien. T.J. was on one of the first Harold teams at UCB/NY (The Bureau), has been a regular performer at the Magnet Theater for 12 years. He is the Founder/Artistic Director of the New York Musical Improv Festival www.NYMIF.com and has performed with The Armando Diaz Musical Experience, The Made-Up Musical, The Program, FACE, and Magnet House Teams Pax Romana, Viceroy, Atticus, Rosencrantz, Rebound & Miracle Baby. He is currently touring with the epic one-man improvised musical "LimboLand.”
