Improvising Puppets!

Any material object can be brought to life onstage, and the possibilities for expanding the imaginative universe are infinite! Anything close at hand will do: a chair, a piece of clothing, any prop at all, really. In this workshop we will explore basic Mask techniques, finding stillness, awareness, and grounded movement for the puppeteer. Then, we will play with animating objects: finding their eyes, spine and breath, and exploring how different objects have different movement needs.
