"Michael Short is a great coach. My team loved him. He has a great respect and deep knowledge of improv. He called us on our bad habits and chose exercises that were constructive in the areas we needed." - Joy Masters
"Michael coached my improv team that was formed as part of the Annoyance’s Blind Tiger show. He facilitated an environment where I learned many new improv techniques and felt encouraged to push myself to try out riskier tactics, both of which are extremely important to become a better improviser. This was due to Michael selecting effective exercises in addition to giving thoughtful feedback. I think that these coaching techniques were useful because of Michael’s comprehensive experience and knowledge of improv from various schools. I really trusted and tried to adhere to Michael’s coaching techniques, and it really made me a much better improviser. In addition, I think that Michael helped us perform better as a team by giving us team-based feedback about our practice sessions in addition to individual feedback. When Blind Tiger ended, my improv team stuck together and kept doing shows. I think this is a testament to the effectiveness of Michael’s team-back feedback. Overall, I highly recommend Michael as a coach." - Sarah Nagy
"Michael Short cares. Most people don't give a shit." - Ben Hosley
